Once a job is complete, on each visit you will receive your invoice on the same day. With your engineers' feedback. We would have already secured a payment method upon booking maybe by card with our tokenization secure system, or cash or even finance! Can I Supply My Own Boiler & Radiators?
You could but in all honestly it wont effect the cost, or may even be more expensive. This is as we have great relationships with Merchants & Manufacturers so we can get Boilers & Radiators at great prices. It also would mean that you wont benefit from the excellent Manufacturers Guarantees that we provide. We also register it to the Manufacturers for you... so its one less thing to worry about.
However if you are thinking about installing some specialist radiators such as Cast Iron Design Radiators - we advise you to supply them as they are such a personal preference and you can keep your warranty direct. Don't worry though, we will help you decide on what sizes and positions.
At Ry we like to be flexible to suit your lifestyle the long and short of it is
- Yes we can carry out a free on site quotation we always prefer this for more complex systems and larger works because the key to a smooth job - starts from the planning, understanding and quotation - doing the work is easy!
- Yes with the right details given online we can give you an estimate - but not a quotation. A video call can be the quickest and most convenient way for an estimate prior to maybe a site visit if we move forwards to clarify technical details and personal preferences with you. There are many companies that give prices online without seeing the property at all. From our experience this can mean unexpected costs - such as re-running a gas pipe, or requiring a roofer not originally included.With them on site about to start works .. its also a huge amount of pressure to make decisions quickly which you may not be happy with later down the line. At Ry we always aim to carry out the most thorough specification we can so our customers can have the most amount of clarity possible in relation to costs, visual aesthetics and product options.
When carrying out a quotation on site we need you to be on site. This is for a few reasons.
- The engineer will need to understand your expectations of the job and gather information on your future property plans. For example you may be planning an extension in 2 years time, in which case they need to consider the size of the output so this can be accommodated.
- Certain questions need to be asked as they arise to provide an accurate quotation. For example they may say, if we put your radiator here your pipework would have to be on show, but if we put it here with no wooden flooring we can come up through the floorboards. Different options will have different costs associated and so those preferences need to be advised, so your cost is accurate.
- Once the engineer leaves your property, of course you can make small amendments if requested. However if they become technical this makes the process longer for you, and the engineer may even need to return to confirm the details.

- Always qualified engineers in their field, who have carried out those types of works previously on the tools. This means they are able to spot certain potential technical issues to advise accordingly.
- Understanding the correct questions to ask the client to gain an understanding into what the right system is for you and your future plans.
- Product knowledge .. to ensure you understand what manufacturers are right for your property. Maybe it's for cost reasons, operation reasons or guarantee length.
- They look out for aspects you may need to know, so you understand the process. Such as if we remove this existing radiator and add new ones, the sizing means you may need decoration works afterwards.

With any major refurbishment works - unfortunately there will be dust and old appliances being removed which can lead to a little mess. As standard Ry will always ensure that there are dust sheets laid down in the main pathway areas - these will be areas the engineers will need to walk through to remove rubbish/bring in products etc and the area we are working in where required. Our engineers should always try to ensure that the working area has a little clean up at the end of the working day - but dust does settle which we cant avoid. Sometimes they will also need areas to store items/products waiting to be installed. If you have specific requirements for more extreme protection such as you have brand new carpets - or your front door needs protecting - please notify us we will be happy to price to install plastic flooring and or corex covering throughout all pathways - and can even wrap any door areas. The cost of this depends on the size of the property and is an optional extra not standardly included. Or feel free to do it before we arrive, and we can advise on what to purchase.
Ry do not provide any warranty on parts/products or materials even if we supply them through a merchant. This is as we do not manufacturer them and therefore cannot have the knowledge to offer the guarantee.
However we will ensure that we arrange with our merchant/supplier to provide a refund on the product and or replacement should that product be deemed faulty within its warranty period. We will then pass this back on to you. Where an issue arises that is not as a result of our workmanship and is not brought to our attention within 7 Days of our installation we reserve the right to charge for the labour to reinstall any defected product - however this is reviewed on a case by case basis due to many scenarios. With certain items such as boilers - where our accredited status unlocks a longer guarantee - we will register this for you on your behalf once we have received full payment for the works. Once it is registered - your warranty for parts and labour will be held with the manufacturer not Ry Group and all details relating to this will be received by you in an email of how to uphold the warranty and whats covered.
Ry Group will also register any required Gas or Electrical works to building compliance - you will also receive this certificate via email from them such as Gas Safe of NICEIC
