BATHROOM DESIGN & INSTALLATION

With any major refurbishment works - unfortunately there will be dust and old appliances being removed which can lead to a little mess.  As standard Ry will always ensure that there are dust sheets laid down in the main pathway areas - these will be areas the engineers will need to walk through to remove rubbish/bring in products etc and the area we are working in where required. Our engineers should always try to ensure that the working area has a little clean up at the end of the working day - but dust does settle which we cant avoid. Sometimes they will also need areas to store items/products waiting to be installed. If you have specific requirements for more extreme protection such as you have brand new carpets - or your front door needs protecting - please notify us we will be happy to price to install plastic flooring and or corex covering throughout all pathways - and can even wrap any door areas. The cost of this depends on the size of the property and is an optional extra not standardly included. Or feel free to do it before we arrive, and we can advise on what to purchase.

You will not be able to use a shower or bath potentially throughout the whole process - however where possible nearer the end of the works you may but its best to assume you won’t, or ask based on your specific job. We will leave a working toilet for you every evening - unless there are any major unforeseen issues and or you have another toilet you can use instead. Throughout parts of the work in the day you will not be able to use a toilet, therefore should you wish to get a port aloo for the works please notify us as we receive competitive costs from local companies.

This is a really hard question, and as you can imagine the possibilities are almost endless. However labour on it own normally starts from around £7,000+VAT upwards for a small standard 3 piece suite, with minimal tiling and decoration needs and connecting on to existing supplies with little alteration to plumbing and electrics. Products are completely a personal preference - and the cost can range drastically. Likewise the miscellaneous materials costs will depend on your design specification.

However the things that will effect your labour cost are:

• The rip out, what will you remove and what will we remove?
• Moving positions of your suite - i.e the toilet to a different wall or your shower valve to a different wall. This is as we have to move the supplies which may or may not be advisable depending on individual circumstances.
• Adding electrical items such as LED mirrors, shaver points, more lights or mood lighting.
• The condition of the existing walls and floors - this will effect the tiling labour and also decoration time.
• Removal of walls and partitions - changing the structure of the room will obviously add considerable time to the making good or labour.
• Specialist items - i.e you want a steam shower, or you have a very large heavy marble vanity unit piece.
